The BACP standards are a guide to individuals and organisations about the professional standards that we deliver our services. Network of Staff Supporters has been awarded Accredited Organisational Status for the delivery of Therapeutic Counselling Services – the process to become accredited is comprehensive and includes the development of our document library of processes and procedures; accreditation offers reassurance of the quality standards to which Network of Staff Supports work, the ethics that we work within and the calibre of counselling associates that we employ – all BACP accredited or registered.

We work to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. We have highly trained and motivated staff, recruited on the basis of their own accreditation or registration with BACP, which is appreciated by the public and private sector organisations that we support.

We offer face-to-face counselling appointments within seven working days or sooner through agreement; we also operate regular scheduled counselling clinics or bespoke individual referrals depending on the needs of the contracting organisation. Jointly we help organisations design support programmes that suit staff and the organisation.

We also provide support for staff who have been affected by a critical incident such as assaults or death in work, accidents, train crashes and other workplace traumas. We work with other professionals and if required can arrange immediate referral to specialists – for example bereavement or PTSD.

We provide workplace mediation, bespoke training workshops, coaching and mentoring. Services are tailor-made to suit the needs of the organisation or address a particular issue.
