Orme Lodge, High St., Bangor-on-Dee, Wrexham
If you are coming from Chester look for the A483 road to Wrexham and stay on this for approx. 8-10 miles. Ignore the slip road off to the left indicating Wrexham town centre (Odeon & Sainsburys should be on the left-hand side at this point) and keep going. Ignore the next slip road signposted Ruthin Road; ignore the next slip road signposted Rhosllanerchrugog (you should be going over a flyover at this point) and keep going for approx. 1.5 miles. You will then see a slip road to the left signposted Bangor on Dee/Bangor Isycoed and Johnstown. Take this slip road off and turn left heading for Bangor on Dee/Bangor Isycoed (B5426). This is a bendy country road and you stay on this. Approx. 1 mile further on you should be seeing a School sign and passing a pub called the Fox & Hounds at Eyton. Remain on this road - you should pass a sign on a very sharp left hand bend saying "Lewis Farm goods" followed by a sign indicating The Plassey Caravan site - keep on going till you come to a roundabout. Go straight across the roundabout and follow the signpost for Bangor on Dee/Bangor Isycoed (2 miles). You should now be on the "straight mile". When you reach the junction at the end of this "straight mile" you should be seeing a Church facing you and a signpost indicating Whitchurch (A525). Turn right at this junction for approx. 100 yds (going over the new bridge) and take the next left where you see the sign Bangor on Dee/Racecourse. You will now be in the village and follow the road (slightly bendy) until you reach a junction. Immediately on your left you will see a cream/white building with a green sign "The Stableyard" and across the road you will see the Post Office sign. We are next door to the Post Office. Look for the white building with a blue door and blinds and ‘Orme Lodge’ sign on the door. Our tel. no. is: 01978 780479.
Have a safe journey.
